Duane, President & CEO of EDAG Production Solutions

First name: Duane

Title: President & CEO of EDAG Production Solutions

How did you come to work at EDAG / why did you start down an engineering career path?

I studied Engineering and began my career in 1982 at the age of 18. My first job out of school was with AM General. In 2011 I started working with CKGP/PW, which became part of the EDAG Group in 2017.

I had always taken great interest in the design and build of Manufacturing Engineering projects and am still driven by the opportunity to see theses ideas come to reality. Even in my current role I am at times involved in the design and development of ideas and approaches to our customers needs.

What do you like most about working at EDAG?

EDAG Group provides a Global Presence and is well positioned to support Projects of any size. This provides exciting opportunities our employees. Our employees are our greatest asset and being part of a team is what motivates me everyday. In addition to this, establishing relationships with my colleagues around the world has been one of the highlights of my career.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

I typically manage our Executive level staff and give guidance on opportunities and costs. I also perform some Sales functions as well as the management of the overall business for PS here in the U.S. In addition to this I coordinate and report to EDAG Group in Fulda on the status of the business and what opportunities exist for EDAG Group globally. Almost everyday presents new challenges for myself and my team and going forward, we see great potential for growth in the U.S.

What are some of your hobbies / what do you do outside of work?

I am a part time Musician and occasionally perform with a local Top 40/Classic Rock band called Five Second Fuse as a guitar player. I started playing guitar at age 10 and also owned and taught music for many years. I have had the opportunity to play with world renowned musicians and have also collected guitars for many years. My current collection is over 12 different guitars. I am also an avid Hunter and enjoy the outdoors.
